THE PATH TO RESILIENCE We lost our resilience while growing up and have learned ways to mask our authenticity with the perception of who we think we are. The sum total quality of who we are is far greater than the perception we have of ourselves. It is not important how we lost our resilience, what is important is how to bring it back to full force.Resilience unfolds each time we encounter resistance and are willing and open to learn from the discomfort that accompanies the struggle. Our first reaction is to run away from it, suppress it, play the victim or fight it or blow it out of proportion. Any way we choose to react entangles our mind in ordinary or limited ways of thinking. To break the chains of ordinary existence, we must face the limitations with courage, discipline, persistence & practice. |
